Welcome to Room 8
Welcome to Room 8. We are a fantastic class of 12 key stage 3 pupils and are lucky enough to be split over two classrooms which is great as it gives us lots of space and allows us to make everything perfect to make everyone’s needs.
Our brilliant staff team are:
- Andrew (Monday to Friday)
- Emily (Monday to Thursday)
- Rachael (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday)
- Vicki (Monday to Wednesday)
- David (Monday to Friday)
- Lisa (Wednesday to Friday)
- Rebecca (Friday)
This term our Coastal Learners are looking forward to following their individual programmes enjoying developing their communication through sensory stories and making requests. They will continue to join in our attention autism work practicing sharing their attention and developing their social skills. We will have time in the light and dark rooms and will have chance to watch eggs grow and hatch during science week.
This half term our Countryside and City learners will be joining in British science week, the theme this year is ‘growing’ and we should be having some very special guests for the week. We are really looking forward to getting back into forest schools too.
Our English lessons will focus on fact files this half term and we will be trying to produce our own, so watch this space.
We cannot wait until World Book Day at the beginning of March where we will get to dress up as our favourite characters.
In addition to all of this we continue to have sessions planned for the
- Lightroom and darkroom sensory sessions across the week
- Forest Schools on a Thursday (alternate weeks)
- Yoga with Will on a Thursday
Please see our class timetable for more information.
In Room 8 we capture evidence of our learning through Evisense. Please check your child’s page to see what we have been doing!
